The new Symbian OS that will come next year is promising better performance with its improved user interface. Previously released mobile phones that run the said OS showed that this Nokia software can be improved. Now Nokia is heeding the unsolicited advice and is working on major changes.
Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said in the recent Capital Markets Day that, “In 2010, we will drive user experience improvements, and the progress we make will take the Symbian user interface to a new level.”
According to Engadget, the improved Symbian will have multi-touch input for large capacitive displays and lesser steps for its frequently used functions. Better web browsing experience and a faster OS can be seen in the new Symbian.
